Along the southern coast of Sweden, you’ll find the little seaside gem Mölle. It’s also where Otto Nordblom and Lovisa Dahlberg decided things had been a little too quiet lately.
Inspired by Mölle’s past as a summer destination for music, dancing and late nights, they created Open Air Mölle. A two-day festival for locals, summer visitors and, not least, the party peeps. Think live music, good food, dancing and late summer nights by the harbor. All in all, what more do you need for one really good summer party?
We joined them in Mölle to see how stickers in all shapes and sizes could become part of the festival. From branding and signs, they ended up doing a whole lot more than just looking good.

Open Air used a mix of sticker sheets, die-cuts, labels on roll, and vinyl transfers throughout the festival.
“For the bigger signage, vinyl stickers was definitely a favorite. We used it for our menu signs and on foam board around the festival. It looked great, was easy to apply and held up really well throughout the event. If we did it all again, we’d definitely use even more of it.”
What surprised them most was how naturally the stickers became part of the festival itself. Instead of the branding staying exactly where it was put, visitors helped spread it around the area, adding to the playful look and feel of Open Air Mölle.
“The stickers added much more to the festival than we expected. We used them to brand things like cups, but also let visitors grab their own and put them on oil barrels, phone cases and pretty much anything else they could find.”

We were there to put our temporary tattoos to the ultimate test. We set up a temporary tattoo booth where visitors could stop by between shows, spin the wheel and leave with a new (temporary) addition.
It didn’t take long before tattoos started popping up all over the festival. Arms, legs, backs and, of course, a few lower backs. Getting to see people pick their favorites, convince their friends to join in and come back for another one made it even more fun to experience the product outside our usual sticker world.
For Lovisa, the tattoos became one of the highlights of the festival:

Working with StickerApp felt like a really natural fit for Open Air Mölle. We had so many ideas for how stickers, signage and temporary tattoos could become part of the festival, and it was great seeing it all come together on site.
